The C.R. Law College, Hisar established in year 2003 to conduct 3 years (Professional) law course. It is a leading self financing law college imparting education in the state of Haryana. The Law College is committed to impart outstanding quality legal education at par with the premier Law institutions in India. The Law College is located at Hisar on Rajgarh Road, Adjacent Radio Station, just 3.5 KM from the Bus stand and 2 KM from the Railway station. Frequent transport facilities are available from the major points of the city to the college. This college is also conducting B.A.LL.B. (5 Year) Integrated Professional Law Course since 2009.

He was born at village Alakhpura, tehsil-Bawanikhera in Bhiwani district in Haryana, in the family of Chaudhary Salig Ram of Lamba gotra Hindu Jat in year 1861. His father had migrated from the village Gothra in Sikar district in Rajasthan. He completed his primary education in the village Bawanikhera and high school at Rewadi in Haryana. He could not continue his higher education due to his weak financial position.
He was married twice. His first wife was from the village Dohaka who died due to cholera. He had no son from his first wife. Then he married Lakshmi Devi of the village Vilawal in Bhiwani district and had children with her.
Chhaju Ram, at the age of 20-22, came in contact with Arya Samajist engineer Raisaheb Shivnath Rai of Bhiwani, who was very much influenced by the talents and sincerity of Chhaju Ram. He took him to Kolkata. For some time he coached Raisaheb’s children. Meanwhile he came in contact with a businessman from Rajgarh. He taught his children also.
The market in Kolkata during those days was dominated by Marwaris. Chhaju Ram, who had a good knowledge of Hindi and English, did correspondence work for the Seths and came to be known as munshiji. He was a talented person. During the process of correspondence with trading-firms, he got sufficient knowledge about trade. He got the trade secrets of dalali business. He started first the trade of old bags and later on shifted to new bags trade. He was, by this time, counted as a known dalal of Kolkata.
He earned great wealth due to hard work and polite behavior. He purchased shares in companies. Later he also took in hand the trade of jute and became known as the Jute King.
He was a strong believer in God. He spent a lot of money in social welfare works. He started many hostels, libraries and dharamshalas. He floated scholarships for financially weak and needy students. He financed higher studies of Sir Chhotu Ram. He was known as Bhamasah of kshatriya caste. The British government awarded him the title of ‘Sir’.
He died on 7 April 1943.
The Jat Education Society’ working in the name & Style of ‘Jat Educational Institutions’, Hisar was established in 1926 to provide quality & affordable education in various disciplines. Under its aegis are run many prestigious esteemed professional and academic institutions of great repute in’ Sehar-e-firoza-Hisar’ .
To meet the gigantically burgeoning demand of Legal Education in the India, especially in Industrial & Educational hub of Haryana, Hisar and surrounding area, the Society has established a Law College in year 2003 of international standard at Hisar in the name and style of “C.R.Law College” to meet the Cherished ideal of Seth Chhaju Ram, a philanthropist most generous and humane. Born in the year 1861 in a humble farming family of Alakhpura village, Seth Chhaju Ram received his early schooling at Bawani Khera and Rewari. Visionary as he was Seth Chhaju Ram rose to the stature of ‘JUTE KING’ of India by dint of his hard work, generosity and humanity.
Seth Chhaju Ram liberally donated huge funds for the spread of education in region and founded Jat High School at Hisar in the year of 1926 in the loving memory of his beloved son, Ajit Kumar. Recognizing the selfless services of Seth Chhaju Ram, the Managing Committee of Jat High School started Chhaju Ram Memorial Jat College in July 1967 and Chhaju Ram College of Education in 1969 in loving memory of Seth Chhaju Ram. The Managing Committee of Jat Educational Institutions, Hisar decided to add more feathers in the cap and started C.R. Public School in April 2003 and Chhaju Ram Law College in August 2003.
Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology started its journey on October 20, 1995 under Haryana State Legislative Act No. 17 of 1995 at Hisar, Haryana State of India to impart education on the frontiers of Technology, Pharmacy, Environmental Studies, Non-conventional Energy Sources, Mass Media and Management Studies.
Today the university is rock standing on three hundred seventy two acres of lush green land with 18 Teaching Departments classified in 10 Faculties for coordinated teaching in particular and effective governance in general. The University at present offers 45 Regular Programmes on Campus including B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Pharma, M.Pharma, B.Physiotherapy, M.Physiotherapy, M.Sc, M.B.A, M.Com and M.C.A. etc. with Ph.D. degree programme in all the Departments. The University also offer 17 Programmes through Distance Mode. These Distance Education Programmes stand approved by the joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.
The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) for recognition of degrees on 11.1.1996 and under section 12(B) of the UGC Act to be eligible for central assistance on 7.2.1997.
The University has been accredited ‘A’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), in 2002 as grade `A’ and has been re-accredited as grade `A’ with (CGPA 3.26), in 2009. Thereafter, the University has also been re-accredited third time as “A” Grade with (CGPA 3.28) by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore for a period of five years from 10.12.2014 to 09.12.2019 and further extended for seven (five+two) years i.e. upto 09.12.2021.
Further, affiliated college of Hisar district from this University offers bachelor and Master degrees in Engineering, Management, Architecture, Physithreapy, Pharmacy, Law, Arts, Commerce, Science and Sports etc.
